Drug Industry Lobbying Up Again...

According to the Wall Street Journal and the non-partisan Center for Responsive Politics, drug makers boosted their lobbying (yet again) in Washington during the 3 months ended June 30.

Drug makers spent $68 million to lobby Congress and the Obama administration in the second quarter - that works out to almost ONE MILLION DOLLARS PER DAY!

Based on that amount of spending, it doesn’t take a rocket scientist to predict that the coming healthcare (aka “disease care”) changes will have prescription drugs as a central “solution” to America’s out of control healthcare system.

The biggest spenders for the quarter were Pfizer ($5.6 million), Amgen ($3.4 million), and GlaxoSmithKline ($2.3 million).
